Frame a Quote

Recently, I have been redecorating my room, & I had the sudden urge to make a shadow box. I went in search of a good quote to frame. I found a verse from the bible that I think would fit perfectly…

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”
                1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)

I think this is a good verse emphasizing the power that young people have.
I’m going to do some decorating & then post pictures soon!

Midnight Snack

Last night, I was plagued with the craving for a midnight snack. So I decided to whip something up quick that wasn’t going to show on the scale.

With 2 chocolate graham crackers & frozen fat free Cool Whip, you can make your own ice cream sandwiches.

In my opinion, they taste so much better too. Enjoy!

Make Your Own Scarf

A friend of mine suggested a great idea to post on my blog, so I gave it a try.

I went to Goodwill & purchased an oversized sweater (not too big, because I didn't want a large scarf, but you can make yours whatever size you would like). I came home & grabbed a pair of fabric scissors and a ring out of the sweater (about 6 inches in width) the whole way around.

I then took the center ring & trimmed up some of the edges, but still kept a rigid look. Then I just twisted it up, & had a new scarf made from a 3 dollar sweater.

Valentines Day Gifts

Me & my boyfriend of 15 months decided to celebrate Valentines Day this past Saturday. As the procrastinator I am, I put off the V-Day shopping until Friday night. I grabbed two of his favorite movies, his favorite candy, a small syrup dispenser, along with large heart shaped cookie cutters for pancakes and his favorite breakfast foods. To top off the gift, I went to IHOP to get him the delicious butter pecan syrup you can't find anywhere else. To my surprise, the restaurant was completely out & would not have another shipment until Valentine's Day. Needless to say, I was frantic & needed to find a creative way to put off this V-Day breakfast. So I went home, made a homemade card, & laid in my bed pondering what to do. Suddenly, I was hit with the idea of letting him know how much I love him through a syrup dispenser (who would have thought). I cut out many small strips of paper, along with one large strip. On the large strip I wrote "I LOVE YOU," & on the small ones I wrote all of the different reasons I love him, such as "I love you for your sense of humor." Turns out, it was his favorite part of the whole gift, & it actually made him cry.
